AV Production 3 (Rock School Studios) Rock School Studios, the feature film division of SHS Productions is a dynamic filmmaking program within Smyrna High School, dedicated to empowering students with a passion for storytelling through the medium of film. Its mission is to ignite creativity, foster collaboration, and cultivate a love for cinematic expression. With a focus on experiential learning, students engage in a hands-on project that explores every aspect of the filmmaking process, from scriptwriting and directing to cinematography, editing, and beyond. Through a supportive and inclusive community, students are encouraged to explore their creative visions, collaborate with peers, and develop the skills needed to succeed in the film industry. With access to state-of-the-art facilities, industry-standard equipment, and mentorship from industry professionals, Rock School Studios provides students with a transformative filmmaking experience that prepares them for a future filled with creative possibilities.
Students will finish this project not only with real hands-on experience, but with actual resume experience and IMDB credit.
Required extracurricular/after-school production sessions(30) will begin after Fall Break and continue into late Feb/March 2025.
