About Me

I have always loved to read! So, I became an English teacher and later a librarian in order to inspire students to love reading and appreciate books like I do. I often find students inspire me as much or even more than I do them . . . youth are our future, and they have much to teach sometimes as they do to learn.

My favorite genres are mystery, historical fiction, and realistic fiction with a biography thrown in now and then. I enjoy the performing arts, photography, traveling, and nature. New York City, the Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls are some of my favorite places to visit, but I won't turn down a relaxing trip to the beach or the mountains. I taught English, psychology, journalism, and sociology before becoming a school librarian at SHS in 2022. You are mostly likely to find me at one of my nephews' sports games.

My favorite book is Jesse Stuart's The Thread that Runs So True.

My favorite YA book is Sharon Cameron's The Light in Hidden Places.

Sunset is my favorite time of the day.
